Givin' Therapy to Stuffies

I have a few concerns that have been occupying my mind lately...stuffies being one of them. Yah know, us four legged humans we bite, lick, rip, shred, gut and sometimes demolish our stuffies, all with good intentions of course, but do we ever say "Thank You"...I know I don't.

I think we should make May 8th National Stuffie Appreciation Day. I propose that on the 8th we all post our favorite pictures of our stuffies and tell the world why we love them so.

I started National Stuffie Appreciation a bit early! I only did it 'cause, well, my stuffies have been through a lot. So, over the weekend I gave lots of therapy to my stuffies. I don't know if you can tell, but there is a moose under my fuzzy head in the picture above. Not only is my Moose stuffy receiving very intense therapy, but I also kissed his ear and head so much that the stuffing inside got a little therapy too! Gosh I love my stuffies!
And here, my duck was feeling a little depressed, so I let him quack it out, then napped with him and kept him all warm and fuzzy on the owl bed! He appreciated it so much that he let me get a few good honks/farts outta him without even putting up a fight!

I even brought the Honkin'/Fartin' duck to work with me so he wouldn't be alone. He needed a lot of consoling over the weekend. Apparently, I have both abused and neglected him the past few days...so he was number one on my list to theraperize.
Solomon the snake was up next. I brought him to work too, mostly because he enjoys seeing the kids! Let me tell you, a one headed snake can talk...but you just wait and hear all that a two headed snake has to say! I had to lay on one head at a time, they each needed their own therapy session!

Now this guy, he was a charity case. I found him in the backyard of the Infant House at work. Enough said right there right? He's around lots of boogers and stuff, so I took him and claimed him in the name of Mr. T-Bone Beasley! I licked him lots so it was like a nice massage to him. Then I layed on him...he felt more love and care than he ever has before!
Okay, now my Squiggly was the most important to me, mostly because he's the one who feels my wrath the most. When my human doesn't give me more puppy chow...he gets Bease bit. When I get told "NO!" I chomp on him a bit. And when I'm just down right ornery I shake the livin' crap outta him! So, my dearest Squigg...I just hugged him and held on to him tight for most of the afternoon. I gave him all I had! Even the other stuffies surrounded my head because it was so intense!

This reminds me of a scene from Titanic...I'll never let you go Squigg...I'll never let you go...
Oh man I love my Squiggly!!!
This is Mr. T-Bone Beasley signing out reminding everyone that National Stuffie Appreciation is May 8th!!!! Also...if you haven't done so already, please go over to my awesome friend Deetz's page and vote on the Scary Eye Contest! Him and his mum spent lots of time to make some fun for all of us four legged humans! Woohoo for Deetz and his mum!!!
Slurp!

G'day Bease,
You've come up with a ripper idea matie. We've got a few stuffies and they're in pretty good condition as we're never allowed to play with them hee hee.
Hope to see you at Putter and Willows pawty. Don't forget to book your seat on aire-ruby.

Great idea Mr. B! I think those stuffies are taken for granted and way under appreciated! When I was your age I lived in a crate 22 out of 24 hours while training for the "big" race...I never had a stuffie.

Since I was rescued a few years ago I have more stuffies than you can shake your tail at!! I love those fuzzy stuffed squishy beings! Some of them have given their lives so I could be a happy hound and I appreciate their sacrifices more than they'll ever know.

Let's hear it for those Stupendous Stuffies!!!

Your cuz,

Buck O.

Beas, great idea. Thing is, I don't have any stuffies. Since I used to appreciate my stuffies TOO much (eating them and getting sick), I'm not allowed to play with stuffies anymore. But Mama promised she'll get me one or two on May 8 in honour of all stuffies around the world, and let me have some supervised time with them! Oh, I can't wait!

I had no idea how much I had been neglecting my stuffies until now. Charlotte was gone all weekend, so I got squiggly out and played with him and also my spotted orange tiger..I have beheaded most everything else, so they are in need of some major luv from me.... I missed you T-Bone! I caught two flying bugs on Sunday, you would have been so proud of me. I am going to go and mark my mums calendar for May 8th....My poor stuffies.

T-Bone!

I will honor Stuffie Appreciation Day, and I'll make sure Stella honors it too. She's got regular surgical destuffing skills, that girl has.

For me, stuffie therapy used to mean that when I'd get all riled up my girl would tell me to get a stuffy, and I'd shaking the living crap out of it! I'd have to shake it hard enough to hit both sides of my body before it felt the aggression would subside.

Now, the stuffie therapy you're talking about is TOTALLY different, but I think I can step up.

I bet the stuffies are happy to know there's a Bease who is looking out for them!

Thanks for thinking of my birthday enough to get that prezzie. Bring it on ANYtime, buddy. I'm sure it will crack me up one side & down the other, whatever it is!

Goober love & smooches,
Stanley

Hi, T-Bone...

Thanks for visiting my blog...And, Extra Thanks for letting me know about National Stuffie Appreciation Day...

You see, I DO appreciate my Stuffies...I love them dearly, but the problem is, my "Cousin" Rosco beats them up so bad my Mom has to keep them way up high...& I can only play with them when Rosco is outside...

So...Now she has no excuse, she will have to put Rosco outside for the Day & LET ME HAVE MY STUFFIES...

It's only right...

I am protesting too!! I am telling my mum I have to have bitey face with my bestest friend in the world and she is just going to have to deal with it....My mum says it gets really hot in AZ, so hot you can burn your paw pads....thats hot! I have plenty of room and two dog houses, you can come and play with me anytime. Mum says CO is nice and lots of pretty things to see, maybe we can meet in CO sometime. She said we can climb big mountains...
I got left outside last night and it started raining and lightning and stuff. I had to go to my mums window, Thank God she had it open...I scratched on the screen and she looked at me and started laughing. I wasn't laughing Bease, I was wet, and those are some big lightning bugs in the sky..but she did let me in and dry me off, so I love her again.

Mr. T-Bone, Please thank your mom for her generous offer to send Levi the bells you don't need for the door. I'm going shopping tomorrow and plan to pick some up. You have a very sweet and clever mom. Can't wait to see what she does for National Stuffie Appreciation Day.

Hey Bease!

I was just over checking out Deetz's blog and I saw where your human said that you had relatives in CO that have greyhounds and great danes...I AM one of those greyhounds!! I told you we were related! I have one brother greyhound and 2 sister greyhounds, plus a great dane sister (who is really old and can't walk) and a black lab sister who is a pain in the butt! That would be totally awesome if you and Deetz came out here! We have a huge fenced yard (our own private dog park) plus my Mom owns a dog daycare and hotel where you could hang out if "the Moms" wanted to go shopping or something.

That is so cool Bease!!! Denver! My mum has a friend who lives in Denver, but she says we have to wait until the gas prices come down a little, or she wins the lottery, or daddy moves out...lol...just kiddin on the daddy thing, but sometimes he can be a butthead. Thats why she hasn't married him yet. Wouldn't that be awesome if we really could do that someday, like in the next year or so. I am gonna keep buggin my mum about this trip for sure. My mum is really cool and she loves to shop

Creede is way in the southwest corner of Colorado...not a lot of humans venture there. The ones that do are pretty strange. I think they are famous for their Suppository Theater, or something like that.

T-Bone matie,
Thanks for the website details of those Tuff Toys. When D was at the RSPCA shop the other day she saw them there. It's goog to know they are sissy proof. I'll ask D to get one and we'll give it the dale test.
The weather has been fantastic...clear skys but really crisp and cool. We love it.

Hope all is well with you.
